Denmark is looking for medical doctors, nurses, elderly care assistants, health care workers, dentists, and other specialities
In the Danish Healthcare sector, you will get one of the best work/life balances in the world, get your opinion heard in a workplace with a flat hierarchy and get great career advancement opportunities. There is a big focus on research in Denmark, and we urge you to keep learning throughout your career.
Do you need to speak Danish? – No, but you will have to learn
As long as you have a good command of the English or German language, you will be off to a good start. If you want to work in the public healthcare system, you will be required to learn Danish upon arrival and a language course will often be a part of the contract. Sometimes it even includes a language course for your spouse. Furthermore, the municipality will offer your children special support when they start in daycare/school.
Do you want to explore your career possibilities in Denmark?
Visit Denmark’s EURES Advisers at the Workindenmark stand at the Emigration Fair in Houten, NL. We are ready to match you to jobs from Danish hospitals, municipalities, and private clinics. Or visit www.workindenmark.dk and explore jobs in Denmark!
Expats are excited about working in Denmark
Many expats have taken the leap before you. We have talked to some of them about their experiences on living and working in Denmark. Daniel from Italy, works as a nurse at Lillebælt Hospital, and he says that he was positively surprised about the Danish workplace culture and how quickly he learned the Danish language. Maria from Spain works as general practitioner in Grindsted in the Southern part of Jutland. She chose Denmark to have more time for her patients and her family. See their videos and meet other expats working in healthcare in Denmark here: https://workindenmark.dk/working-in-denmark/sectors-with-high-demand/medical-and-healthcare-services/
