In Region Kronoberg, there are two hospitals, each equipped with its own ICU. Collectively, we provide 9 ICU beds and 13 postoperative beds, catering to patients across all age groups, from infants to the elderly. With a team of around 100 professionals including nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, and physiotherapists we prioritize patient safety above all else while fostering a positive work environment. Do you live outside of Sweden and are interested in moving here? We would love to welcome you to Växjö and Kronoberg County. Located in the Småland region of southern Sweden we offer idyllic surroundings with much to enjoy. The diverse landscape offers deep forests along with thousands of large and small lakes. Additionally, we are geographically close to the coasts with good connections to the surrounding major cities.

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and implementing treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities.
• Participate in rapid response teams and trauma response teams

Qualifications:
We welcome licensed nurses with specialized training in intensive care.
Accuracy, initiative, ability to work at a fast pace, capability to work independently and in a team are important, as well as your ability to provide excellent care and support to patients, relatives, and colleagues. You have a positive attitude and are flexible in both thinking and behaviour. You also see development and innovation as an inherent part of your role as an ICU nurse. Significant emphasis will be placed on individual suitability.
