Blue Ocean Robotics – a Robot Venture Factory in Odense, Denmark – develop and build mobile service robots within the health, hotel, construction and agriculture sector. For example the disinfection robot UVD Robots, the Telepresence robot Beam and the patient moving robot Multi-Tower. Blue Ocean Robotics supply all our venture companies, who are selling the service robots, with high quality robots on-time in a volume that is about to scale.
We are looking for a Mechatronic Developer with some years of experience, who can join our journey for making the service robots of the future. You will be a part of a team that develops everything hardware near for the next generation of our autonomous mobile robots. You will work closely with other experts within other areas of mobile robotics, learning from and sparring with the best in the field.
As an Mechatronic Developer in Blue Ocean Robotics, you will have a unique opportunity to influence both product development and future technology platforms of the company and our robots.
Your profile
We expect that you hold a degree in engineering along with some years of experience and a proven track record as a Mechatronic Developer from a relevant industry. You will become responsible for the design and development of software and hardware for various sub-system features and will play an active role in the certification process e.g CE-marking for our robots.
Need to have experience for the position:
•Automation and control systems
•Experience in MCU programming (C/C++)
•Hardware/software communication interface protocols e.g. RS232, RS485, RS422, CAN bus, Ethernet, MODBUS, CANOpen, I2C, SPI
•Robot/systems bring up, functional testing and integration
•Validation at system and product level
Nice to have experience:
•Electrical components sizing and selection such as MCB, fuse, motor, motor controller and sensors
•Knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS)
•Have experience with Unix or Linux
•Technical buying/purchasing, liaising with vendors and suppliers
As a person you are self propelled, getting-things-done oriented, systematic, analytical but yet pragmatic, and you are not afraid of challenging targets and KPIs. You are data focussed and documentation and digitally oriented with a strong ability to manage everyday challenges in a robot venture factory, which is one of a kind in the world.
