Job description:
Innlandet Hospital Trust serves approximately 400,000 people and has its main laboratory medicine center located in Lillehammer.
Senior consultant in transfusion medicine at the blood bank has medical responsibility for the blood banks at the sections in Hamar, Gjøvik, Elverum, Lillehammer, and Tynset, as well as the field of immunology. The department can adjust the workplace to one of these locations if desired, but Lillehammer is the main location.
Collaboration with clinical departments at the Innlandet Hospital Trust is desired to be developed, as well as the new focus area on molecular biological diagnostics where analyses from immunology and transfusion medicine are also desired to be included. Some travel activity is to be expected, and the candidate must have their own car.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have Norwegian medical authorization and be proficient in a Scandinavian language both in writing and orally.
Responsibilities:
- Routine tasks related to the department's operations.
- Coordination of tasks and priorities for the medical group.
- Availability for questions from clinics and staff related to immunological analyses, blood donors, and transfusions.
- Teaching and guidance of physicians in specialization and other staff.
- Participation in professional councils and committees.
