We are now recruiting software developers! You are an ideal candidate if you work collaboratively, but are self-motivated and possess:
• Outstanding communication skills, fluency in English and some other European language. Other language skills are considered an important advantage. You will be working with medical expert organisations globally.
• True interest in developing and testing enterprise level software and data analytics for medical genetics and pathology diagnostics
• Experience with Java, Python, Web applications, SQL, Linux and/or relational databases
• A valid work permit and reside in the EU
What can Euformatics offer you?
Technological and scientific advances, among other in the field of genomics, continue to develop and improve medical practice. Many talk about the revolution carried by molecular genetic testing, for humans, for the microbiome they carry or for areas such as sustainable agriculture. At Euformatics we don’t use that word any more because we have been at the forefront of the field since 2010. Euformatics is dedicated to the goal of helping clinical diagnostics to stay up to date and perform at their best with the new genomics technologies. You will play an important part in helping clinical labs bring a precision medicine approach to healthcare.
Data-driven precision medicine
The face of medicine is moving away from a ‘one size fits all’ approach to treatment and care of individual patients. The future promises a personalised or precise approach to prevention and medical treatment that recognises that we are all unique and that our health is determined by our inherent differences combined with our lifestyles and environment. Imagine a world where your combined individual characteristics could help to identify your individual risk of developing disease, detect illness earlier, and determine the most effective interventions to help improve your health, be they medicines, lifestyle choices, or even simple changes in diet. In this world, even simple concepts such as the definition of “patient” would need to change.
The tools developed at Euformatics will be used by experts in medical genetics and cancer diagnostics among other things or in projects aiming to prevent autism through dietary adjustments or to determine if low-dose aspirin leads to a life free of dementia.
Our team has a strong background in IT, bioinformatics, molecular genetics, and database solutions, and we work with personalised healthcare and molecular diagnostics providers and assessors across 5 continents. We do also operate some method standardisation work within international medical organisations and clinical RnD projects, among other within the EU Horizon 2020 framework. You will be given training in the position to better understand the sector, as well as further and ongoing training to help ensure that you can make the best contribution possible.
