Welcome to primary care, psychiatry and rehab! An area of activity that faces an exciting future with the development of good and close care. Primary care, psychiatry and rehab consists of 21 publicly run care centres, the 1177 care guide, specialist psychiatry, rehabilitation and habilitation activities as well as family health and “En väg in” for children and young people with mental illness. Our mission is to create good conditions for our patients -resident of Kronoberg county should receive the right actions and treatment with the best possible competence at the right time and at the right level of care.

The rehabilitation clinic in Växjö conducts specialized rehabilitation after somatic illness or injury, for adults mainly from Kronoberg County. Rehabilitation is conducted in inpatient programs, outpatient programs and pain management programs. We are now looking for doctors for the pain unit and for the neuro unit.

We have an individual-centered philosophy that pervades the rehabilitation and is clear in the contact with patients, their relatives, staff and other stakeholders. We work in interdisciplinary teams with efforts from different areas of expertise and with an individual rehabilitation plan as a basis. Doctors with specialist training in rehabilitation medicine, general medicine, anaesthesiologist and geriatrics work here, as well as specialist competence in pain relief. Together with nurses, assistant nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists and counsellors, we form a strong team around the patient.

Responsibilities:
As a specialist physician or senior physician in the pain unit, you work with specialized rehabilitation of patients with long-term pain conditions. The work includes assessment and treatment individually or in groups as well as teaching for groups. In the reception for patients with long-term benign pain, there are patients who need specialist assessment. We offer you the unique opportunity to, together with other professionals in the team, shape and develop this business. The assignment includes, among other things, carrying out multimodal assessments, treatment interventions, clarifying the patient's pain mechanisms, drawing up individual treatment plans and collaborating with various actors around the patients.

Within the neuro unit, the most common diagnoses are stroke, traumatic brain injury or brain injury caused by infection, leg amputation, multi trauma as well as neurological diseases and injuries such as MS, spinal cord injury, post-polio and Parkinson's. There is therefore an opportunity to immerse yourself in one of our diagnostic groups while working with specialized rehabilitation in a broader perspective.

Qualifications:
For the pain unit, we are looking for you who is a registered doctor with specialist training in rehabilitation medicine, general medicine or anaesthesiology.
For the neuro unit, we are looking for you who are a licensed doctor with specialist training in rehabilitation medicine, geriatrics or internal medicine.
