Who are we? We are Region Norrbotten. A county situated in Norrbotten in the northernmost part of Sweden, constituting a quarter of Sweden. Region Norrbotten provide healthcare and dental care, and support research and education. We contribute to the development of Norrbotten, and work with culture, public transport and regional cooperation. The county has five hospitals situated in Luleå/Sunderbyn, Kalix, Piteå, Gällivare and Kiruna, 25 healthcare centres and 19 dental clinics.

Region Norrbotten serves the residents of Norrbotten. We are governed by the residents of the county through general elections. Our activities are characterised by creativity and innovation. The long distances in our county is constantly pushing us to develop new and modern solutions, for instance, our IT solutions within healthcare are considered one of the leading in Sweden. We have two well established research programmes within cardiovascular disease (MONICA) and obstructive lung disease (OLIN) and new exciting research is taking place in other areas.

Region Norrbotten has approximately 6 500 employees and we need to expand. We are looking for the following skills for some of our hospitals, healthcare centres or dental clinics in the county:

 Physicians for example paediatricians, child psychiatrists, ophthalmologists, geriatricians, doctors in palliative care, general practitioners, radiologists, gynaecologist/obstetricians, rheumatologists, pulmonologists and neurologists

 Nurses for example radiographers, psychiatric nurses, nurses in pediatric medicine, nurses in ophthalmology, district nurses, and nurses with further education in theatre care, anesthesia or intensive care

 Biomedical scientists/analysts, dentists, dental hygienists, midwifes, psychologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, curators and medical secretaries

We are looking for you
You are a professional, with EU license if your profession requires that. We prefer that you have a Swedish license via The National Board of Health and Welfare, but it is not a requirement.

We prefer that you are fluent in the Swedish language and if you are not you should be committed to learn. We place great importance on personal suitability and expect you to be competent and flexible.

Employment facts
Region Norrbotten always aim to offer permanent full time employment. We are open to the idea of individual solutions regarding practical arrangements like introduction programme and language training. Salary Region Norrbotten practises individual salary setting in accordance with collective agreements.
